Interview:

The spiritual significance of music is best answered from me if we were sitting together at the bar. I have dozens of gestures and air illustrations, plus we would get interruptions and beer. I have been finding in life that perhaps the quest or embracing of what is “significant” precedes spirituality. Spirituality in itself is a way that humans tend to try and negotiate with the authenticity of significance. Thus, spirituality is a code like mathematics but not at all like a tornado. It’s the difference between lightning striking a tree and arson. Music, sound, or noise depending on what you get off with, is inherent in nature, and we try to communicate or at least empathize with it. When humans began the concept of sound, biologically first of course, someone eventually called it music, and folks been stuffing each other up over which code of spirituality is the gas for this ship. Most likely humans started music to imitate birds, or lure animals into traps, plus in the caves they must of had a brilliant echo.
