Through The Valley’s name is taken from Psalm 23:4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me”.

Interview:
Music is a very powerful method of communication and expression. It can transmit emotions and feelings easier than other forms of communication. Music can also change our focus and make us lose ourselves in it. I think for these reasons, music has been connected with spirituality, and has been used in religious rituals for thousands of years. You will find the same even in extreme music with Christian themes. The emotions we want to express, usually related with dark times in our lives, are intensified by the music. Our music is also a way for us to pray to God. So music is a way to communicate among ourselves and with God.
