Interview:

In a general way, it is said that the spirit is our deepest inner-self. Either in a religious way or not, our soul represents something we can hardly understand or explain. Assuming it stands for our inner-self, that includes our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and wills; trying to express it all seems to be the hardest, but also innate burden of mankind. Of all possible ways to communicate, art is probably the most efficient one when it comes to expressing what goes through our minds. No matter the shape it takes, the subjective nature of an object of art is the closest we can get to the human’s spirit.

Music, in its purest conception, is probably the most universal way of expressing our souls. It does not need words, context, or knowledge to transmit sensations and link things. Music’s natural structure composed by notes in an order that states rhythm, harmony, and melody, can be identified by any being, and gives way to any sort of representation or interpretation. There is no certain explanation to how music really acts upon our inner-self. The subjectivity of music connects our deepest self with the inner expression of what is around us. More than a language of nature and of men; the art of music may be the ultimate language of the soul. Music links one spirit to another.

“Music, in its purest conception, is probably the most universal way of expressing our souls… Music links one spirit to another.”
