Interview:
I believe the spiritual significance or spiritual meaning of music is as it stands. God created music so He could be glorified. It is us as humans that distort the music. We can make a loud noise of praise or pervert the gift that God has given to us. Satan himself was in charge of music before he was cast down out of Heaven. He knows music is a strong weapon to people’s souls. What we do with this gift is entirely up to us. God has given us wisdom of good and evil. If we use music as a tool to win souls to the Kingdom of Heaven, then that is what we should be doing. If we use music for evil, then Satan is behind it. The enemy wants our young generation to be filled with hatred, negative thoughts, and he can use people to deceive one another with music. Satan can get someone to sing about suicide, then the person listening to this will get a message of suicide. If we as Christians sing about God’s love, patience, healing power, and the message of salvation, then any person listening can get a message of hope.
I believe it does not make a difference what kind of music you create, as long as it comes from within your heart, and your intentions are for good and not evil. What kind of message would you give to a close friend or relative? Or even a person you never met before but see them hurting? Would you sing about how they could end their pain by committing suicide? Or would you sing about how great our God is, and by giving God the pain how He would make a way for them. I prefer to give them the message about God. I too was even pushed away at times from churches because the band’s music was heavy and they said it was of the Devil. I explained how I was saved, and how God told me to use my talents to glorify Him in and out of the church. It is a hard thing for a new born Christian to be told that their music is of the Devil. All I wanted to do is glorify God, and win souls to His Kingdom after everything He did for me. So you see music plays a big part of our everyday lives. It is what we do with the music that counts. I will continue to glorify God until He takes me home. I just pray that I can reach as many souls and win them to the Kingdom of Heaven before I leave this Earth.
“Music plays a big part of our everyday lives. It is what we do with the music that counts.”
