If you refer to spirituality in the meaning of finding the miraculous path to a sphere where the almighty dwells in his transcendental glory, I would say, “Hippie Sh*t!” You know, everyone does music. There is no sense in Pop music at all, except robbing the money of kiddies, not to mention robbing a deeper sense of spirituality. Music has the ability to change mood, but that is it. That doesn’t mean that Pop music does not have this property. It has, but in a slimy, affected, and deceitful manner. We have to search perceptively for the few bands that have the gift to make your mind interact with their music. For me it’s The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Type O Negative, or Inquisition, and for the rest of the world it’s something completely different, and that’s alright. The only important thing is that you recognize the deep, natural, and genuine spirit in their music, that you should possess yourself as well, and that I call Satan.
