Interview:
My thoughts on this topic are based on what I’ve heard preached, seen in the world, and experienced in my own spirit, body, and mind. If we don’t sing out loud and quiet praises unto the Lord, the rocks and hills will do so for us as mentioned in the Bible. We’ll let the experts figure out what all that means. All I know is that when I am playing music directed to God, shouting on or off pitch at the top of my lungs, or whispering praises, worship, questions, and issues of life to Him from the deepest depths of my soul, I feel a whole lot closer to Him than when I don’t. There is a time in the day for silence and no music, time to hear from the Lord! I have looked at my instruments sitting over in the corner since spring coated with dust. Still I sing privately unto the Lord every day. This helps me stay in touch with God, and ready for recording the next song for Saint, and my other friend’s projects. In God’s perfect time, I’ll pick up my dusty guitars and microphone, and do what I love to do best on and off stage as skilfully unto the Lord as I can. I like to get down in the trenches on the front lines with my brothers and sisters, playing whenever, wherever, and whatever.
