Interview:
On the quantum level, sound waves and intent radiate out from their source, the band, to interact with the environment on multiple levels both “inner” and “outer”. Spiritually it must depend on the band’s intent how these waves affect their listeners and their own inner environments? Surely music that is based in our entrenched belief in a solid “real” world might further entrench a listener in that world, solidifying it to some lesser or greater degree for that person. And is the music in question a kind of spiritual warfare as seen in most Christian and Satanic bands? Or is it a style that leads a listener to drop their roles as “so and so doing something in this world” and lead that person to experience a sense of being untouched by worldly beliefs, spiritual or otherwise? Hypothetically, if a ghost thinks they are still alive and that what they are experiencing is real, is their world not real to them? And they are still a spirit? Are human beings any different, aside from having so-called bodies, which are collections of collaborations and universes within themselves? So everything could be “spiritual” in some sense. I don’t have a clue what anything is, spiritual or otherwise so I should shut up. I love music!
