On the surface there seems to be no spiritual significance in music. Let us say someone is crunching an E-chord, or if you are in Lordchain, a drop B-chord. How can this chord determine the eternal destiny of a person’s soul? How can a drum beat point someone towards Heaven or Hell? Music is something much deeper. This is something so precious that I know in my heart of hearts music is a powerful tool to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When I first heard “Not By Sight” by Petra I really liked it. Then I was told that Petra are a Christian band and my jaw hit the floor. As I listened to their music, the lyrics started making sense to me, and I felt an indescribable drawing. It wasn’t the music or even the lyrics. It was a life changing experience. You can have the greatest and most talented musicians playing in the name of God, but if they aren’t living what they are saying, it’s all noise. God uses music to usher in His Holy Spirit. The anointing through the music and the message can touch and change lives just as it has mine. I am living proof. I consider it an honor to be on a stage playing music that glorifies God. It’s a responsibility that I do not take lightly. We are ambassadors of Christ fulfilling the Great Commission [Matthew 28:18-20]. As much as I love to entertain, it’s not about me, and it’s not about Lordchain. It is all about the life changing power of Jesus Christ.
