I believe that music has always been an important part of ancient culture, especially in their sacred rituals. Music was always present when the Aztecs sacrificed people. When they killed someone in their ritual of “glorious death”, music was part of the journey to Mictlan, the underworld kingdom of the dead in Aztec mythology. For me, the brutal ritual of Death Metal music makes me feel like I am in a trance, and I feel like my spirit has a strong connection with the audience. Music can make one spirit or one energy possible. If you are very sensitive, you can feel this in the place where the concert is. The spiritual significance of music is what can transport me to new dimensions when the music is mixed with my spirit and we become one.
