Interview:
For me, music is prayer, it is a portal, a destination never arrived at, an attempt to answer unclear or impossible questions, to re-connect with connections long broken, an attempt to understand or communicate with the elusive workings of my mind – my soul, to learn where I came from or to find my way home, to satisfy a hunger – a thirst – an itch that I cannot identify, to reconcile my insignificance within the framework of “forever”, to ease the trauma of birth, to soothe the uncertainty of death, to feel what cannot be felt in any other way. “What is the spiritual significance of music?” I don’t know. I am small.
“For me, music is prayer, it is a portal, a destination never arrived at, an attempt to answer unclear or impossible questions, to re-connect with connections long broken…”
