Art and music soften the heart and open our hearts for worship, which restores perspective. Perspective in God’s love for us makes it easier to forgive, as when we experience God’s love in an intimate and profound way, we cannot do anything but love others as a result.

Art and music encourage talents to be seen and shown to the rest of the world. They bring healing and transform the atmosphere and mood around you. I believe music and art should be treated with the same level of respect as literacy at school.

My own creative life is all about giving a voice to the voiceless through my paintings and redefining perspectives through juxtaposition of branding and life stories. Through painting my “Stolen Faces” series, I have seen people differently and really understood how we are uniquely made in God’s image. The series challenges preconceptions of beauty and identity. Painting has also made me realize how one’s work can be taken beyond the four walls of a gallery and change lives by restoring humanity and dignity over commercialisation.
