Interview:

I thought long and hard about your proposed question: “What do you believe is the spiritual significance of music?”, and can honestly say that you’re probably asking the wrong band. I couldn’t hope to give you a deep and meaningful answer, unless you count “trying to get girls” as a spiritually significant reason for writing music. To give you any other explanation as to why we play music would just be me trying to be intelligent. I know that there are a tonne of bands out there that have some heavy beliefs vested in their music and lyrics, but that’s not us. We’re about having fun and playing fast. That’s it, and if we get laid along the way then that’s a reward, perhaps not spiritual, but still a reward. Maybe our music just doesn’t have or need that spiritual side to it. We enjoy it as it is, and the good spirit it leaves our fans filled with is enough too. Hell knows I’m happy playing it.
