PARODY: Mother Goose
Back and forth, I sway with the windResolution slips away againRight through my fingers, back into my heartWhere it’s out of reach and it’s in the dark

Sometimes I think I’m blind

Or I may be just paralyzed

Because the plot thickens every day

And the pieces of my puzzle keep crumblin’ away

But I know, there’s a picture beneath

Indecision clouds my vision

No one listens

Because I’m somewhere in between

My love and my agony

You see, I’m somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

Layin’ face down on the ground

My fingers in my ears to block the sound

My eyes shut tight to avoid the sight

Anticipating the end, losing the will to fight

Droplets of yes and no

In an ocean of maybe

From the bottom, it looks like a steep incline

From the top, another downhill slope of mine

But I know, the equilibrium’s there

Indecision clouds my vision

No one listens

Because I’m somewhere in between

My love and my agony

You see, I’m somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

Back and forth, I sway with the wind

Resolution slips away again

Right through my fingers, back into my heart

Where it’s out of reach and it’s in the dark

Sometimes I think I’m blind

Or I may be just paralyzed

Because the plot thickens every day

And the pieces of my puzzle keep crumblin’ away

But I know, there’s a picture beneath

Indecision clouds my vision

No one listens

Because I’m somewhere in between

My love and my agony

You see, I’m somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

in… between

My love and my agony

You see, I’m somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

Somebody put me together

Somebody put me together

Somebody put me together…

Jack be nimble, Jack be quickJack jumped over the candlestickBe he alive or be he deadI’ll grind his bones to make my bread

Sometimes in nursery rhymes

Mother goose is a pessimist

Because there was an old woman who lived in a shoe

Who had so many kids she did not know what to do

But I know, that she was livin’ in there

Lil’ Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet

Eating curds and whey

While Humpty Dumpty sat on… a wall

And Humpty Dumpty had a… great fall

All the king’s horses and the… king’s men

They couldn’t pick up the pieces

They couldn’t put him together

Eensy spider went up the spout

Down came rain, and it washed him out

Out came the sun and dried up the rain

And then the viscious cycle repeats again

Good thing our kids don’t know

How depressing the story is

From the bottom, it looks like a steep incline

But for Jack and Jill they everyday both must climb

Up the hill, but let me give you a scare

Jack fell down an’ broke his crown an’

Jill right behind

Like Humpty Dumpty did on… that wall

And Humpty Dumpty had a… great fall

All the king’s horses and the… king’s men

They couldn’t pick up the pieces

They couldn’t put him together

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick

Jack jumped over the candlestick

Be he alive or be he dead

I’ll grind his bones to make my bread

Sometimes in nursery rhymes

Mother goose is a pessimist

Because there was an old woman who lived in a shoe

Who had so many kids she did not know what to do

But I know, that she was livin’ in there

Lil’ Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet

Eating curds and whey

While Humpty Dumpty sat on… a wall

And Humpty Dumpty had a… great fall

All the king’s horses and the… king’s men

They couldn’t pick up the pieces

They couldn’t put him together

on… a wall

And Humpty Dumpty had a… great fall

All the king’s horses and the… king’s men

They couldn’t pick up the pieces

They couldn’t put him together

They couldn’t put him together

They couldn’t put him together

They couldn’t put him together…
