Interview:
All life has variable frequencies at which they resonate. Music is the manipulation of frequencies of sound waves. I feel that when these waves of sound resonate at the frequencies that compliment or match the frequencies of each individual, it creates comfort and a sort of “biasing” of the soul. We all resonate differently on a quantum level, hence the spectrum of taste and styles of music. Metal resonates with me immediately, but not all Metal. The more brutal the sound the better I feel. This may be due to Brutal Metal resonating frequencies that heighten my sense power and control, which may be related to an over bearing sense of powerlessness I feel in our culture. Dead Can Dance have frequencies that I would speculate heightens the frequencies of enlightenment and contentment. Pop music probably resonates a vague general frequency that most people share, that makes us feel like sheep, part of the crowd, conformity, etc. Now, depending on how much credibility one gives spirituality, you could say that whatever “chakra” or dominant frequencies of organs one has, would determine what music suits your fancy. The concept of our personal frequencies affecting others has been studied and it has been found that people who are angry or depressed affect the resonance of other people around them, and same with happy or enlightened people. It is like an audio speaker bias. The speakers need resonance so it can channel other frequencies without white noise or speaker hum. I feel music has the same effect. Energy feeding energy. Soul food!
“[Music is]… Energy feeding energy. Soul food!”
