Interview:
I think music is spiritual full stop! The fact that someone, who is created in the image of God, is creating sounds and moods is spiritual. Music has no language barrier and pretty much everyone in the world would be able to pick up on whether a piece is angry or soothing. What is that about music? Everything has a sound, the Earth itself, stars, even empty space. Scientists have been listening to it for years. It seems that ever since the Holy Spirit “hovered” or “vibrated” over the waters on the first day of creation the world and everything in it has been resonating to the sound of creation. There is power in music. Music can make you really excited or calm you down, it can make you feel on top of the world, and it can also make you cry. David when still a shepherd was brought before King Saul to play his harp and the demons would leave Saul alone. That’s powerful! When musical ability comes with a character after God’s heart, amazing things can happen.
