Interview:

Music has the ability to open us up emotionally, giving feelings a chance to rise to the surface, feelings that otherwise might not have the chance to see the light of day. For the listener, the opportunity to transform negative or upsetting feelings exists if the right sort of music is experienced, thus transforming for the moment things not easily put into words, and now turned into moments where insights, forgiveness, and love can be released.

For the musician or artist, this experience is also available, with the added benefit of not only transforming their own unexpressed feelings, but also of broadcasting a positive force through their music to the world. This has been my own experience over my lifetime as a composer and performer. An added benefit to me was the surprisingly great outpouring of love and gratitude I have received from my listening public. This in itself is a great motivation to continue creating!
