Interview:
Music is indeed a tool of reaching gnosis. As a writer, there are often things I can describe using a fluent vocabulary with as much detail as possible, however there is a language in music based in tone and structure which can only be experienced. Music is a form of what I call Sonic Black Magick: it causes change, stirs the brain and causes inspiration in many cases. Consider how fans react at shows: there is more buy in than at any large stadium church event! Music is a type of religion and will always be such. This is why Black Metal has kept so many hardcore fans, it is a type of religious experience, the sonic structure allows them to touch something deep in their subconscious. Music is a powerful tool.
