Interview:
I believe the spiritual significance of music stems from the core of the individual writing and performing the music. We can communicate through the language of music a variety of emotions and touch listeners through the creation of sound. The synergy we create when blending the lyrical content of a song with music, is the energy that is conceived in the self. We allow listeners to peek into our very souls. This energy is magical and as an engineer, musician, performer, and composer, it is what I seek to achieve in all that I do. Elusive at times, yet when you drop into the zone the feeling is miraculous. I strive to retain it for as long as I can.
Spirituality is significant because it is through whatever belief system you have in your soul that you are able to connect with the ultimate creativity of the universe. As we are all special in our own right, tapping into your deep-rooted spirituality is where you may find a reservoir of inspiration, and since we are all unique, an original piece of music can only be the result for the world to listen to and appreciate. Through music and a spiritual approach we can make a difference and change, or try to change, the injustices of this Mother Earth of today.
