Since it appears that the thing that has been the largest plague on humanity is “compulsive thinking”, it is important to find ways to live that are not always left brained. Even much of the Spiritual material in books engage the mind so much that it often leaves us feeling like we are not spiritual enough. Again, compulsive thought producing. Music has an amazing way of uniting us, opening our hearts and making us receptive to new ways of feeling and thinking. It replaces old “mind viruses” with new ones that if consciously directed, can completely reprogram us to feeling even more connected than with words and meditation alone. Musicians and songwriters have a great responsibility to use their gifts for the betterment of humanity. Especially in these accelerated consciousness times, music is playing an even more vital role as we move towards 2012.
