Art and music is a reflection of the artist’s soul and their consciousness. If the artist’s intent is to infuse love and compassion into the music, then there is a good chance that listeners will feel that. For me personally, music has great power to inspire love and light that spark of hope in so many broken hearts and a troubled humanity. The more we open to love, the greater our capacity for forgiveness. The more the music is heart-opening, the greater capacity we have for both love and forgiveness.
Music and art have a great value when the artist’s consciousness is in touch and alignment with higher reality, God-consciousness, call it what you will, the soul, spirit, or higher self. Once the ego and intellect of the composer makes way for this higher “connection” the ability to infuse the creation with higher levels of universal intelligence, love, and inspiration is limitless and can be quite transforming.
My values always come first. Expression comes from deep within the self. The more self-realized a soul is, the more they will reflect a higher universal love and intelligence that is beyond the ego and intellect. For me, the more I work on developing myself, my awareness, releasing ego, and intellect through daily meditation practices, mindfulness, and integrating the higher awareness of this limitless universal energy into my daily life, my values will start to reflect that. This reflection will then automatically manifest into all creative expression and life experiences.
Refining, fine-tuning, and seeking “ultimate perfection” can also be an elusive trap if we don’t see the bigger picture that perfection already exists within us all, once we remove the veils of illusion, ego, and intellect, we can access this beauty directly. Your ability to unconditionally love and accept life as it is, including yourself, without projecting an idealized concept of what perfection should be, allows you to experience a deeper level of acceptance which brings more harmony and peace into your life.
Perfection is a state of awareness that transcends the limited perception of the mind. It is the nature of the mind to subject and engage itself with continuous comparisons, analysis, and objectification of an ideal that is not real. When you realize this truth, you will see and experience perfection in all things without your mind struggling to create it. See the beauty of all life in its natural state without projecting an idealized image of what you think it should be or look like. This does not mean that you have to give up your quest for attaining the highest and best you can be or achieve.
Each soul is a work in progress; growing, learning, healing, adjusting, and fine- tuning, until it eventually reaches a state of self-mastery and self-realization. However, the growth and expansion doesn’t stop there. That is only the beginning. As the soul becomes self-realized, it ascends from the treadmill of transmigration and suffering, and merges with the universe and all-that- is. The realization, merging, and expansion of this one, greater, universal Self continues throughout Infinity. That is another level of perfection, which is infinite.
