THE BLEEDER GROUP |
THE BLEEDER GROUP are an innovative avant-pop-rock lineup from Denmark. Their music blurs the line between experimental-pop and intricate-rock. The Bleeder Group have maintained an astounding ability to play complicated rhythmic grooves with complete composure. The band is fronted by legendary and controversial guitarist Peter Peter Schneidermann, who was previously involved in Denmark’s first and best punk-rock band Sods, later renamed as Sort Sol. These post-punk rockers achieved international acclaim from the underground circuits during the early-eighties. Peter Peter has also worked with Martin And The Martians, Monomania, Tapehead, Tee Vee Pop, and Tina Talks. Peter Peter left his band Sort Sol in 1995 and formed a new group called Bleeder. They toured extensively and in 1997, Sony Music released their debut “Psycho Power” that featured a successful single covering The Osmonds’ “Crazy Horses”. Since then Peter Peter has been composing music and writing lyrics for The Bleeder Group. This talented group of musicians also feature Nis Bysted, Mads Heldtberg, and Andreas Hauer-Jensen of the avant-metal group Düreforsög. The Bleeder Group primarily consists of ten core members: Peter Peter Schneidermann [Guitar & Vocals], Nis Bysted [Guitar & Vocals], Mads Heldtberg [Guitar & Vocals], A. Rex [Guitar & Vocals], Andreas Hauer-Jensen [Drums & Vocals], Adam Hashemi [Keyboards, Organ, Piano & Vocals], Morten Man-Sun Chrone [Bass & Vocals], Rune Haaning Thogersen [Synthesizer & Vocals], Peter Kyed [Effects & Electronics], and Marie Eline Hansen [Vocals]. The album booklet features detailed information regarding a multitude of guest appearances for each of the sixteen songs, plus a cool black and white collage of many of the musicians who perform in The Bleeder Group. Inside the “Sunrise” packaging are obscure images including a “Bulb Cut” from infamous artist Mike Diana, who is appraised in the album’s liner notes as “A true American hero”. Live performances from The Bleeder Group have featured infamous ex-Can vocalist Damo Suzuki, and their live shows have been well received throughout Europe. In mid-Janaury 2005, The Bleeder Group performed at Europe’s new talent showcase EuroSonic, alongside fellow Danish groups Diefenbach and The Blue Van. Their latest album “Sunrise” is released on Death Defying Discs through Glorious Records and distributed exclusively by Playground Music throughout Scandinavia.
